Blog neglect over the holiday
I kind of took a break from tumblr over Christmas. Well… I say kind of, I’ve been reading other peoples blogs and not writing any of my own. Anyway, Christmas was good, or Xmas, or winter holiday. I guess it doesn’t matter what you call it really. In the end the meaning is still the same. A celebration of the complete commercialisation of an ancient festival founded by the coca...

Remind you of anything? (ahem, Model UN) →
notanotherrant: vickysolomon: jonathanroberts: (via skatenotwar) Terribly ironic when he says, ”We cannot again allow negotiations on real points of substance to be hijacked (by China, Sudan, Bolivia etc.) in this way.” Given that in the model UN the only substantial resolution that day was effectively blitzkrieged by Norway with some argument about ‘human rights’. Les Misérables
Since I’ve basically got a free lesson in IT. I’ve got as choice of either listening to the music from the DFS advert (also from love actually) or blogging. Last night in Cardiff there was a performance of Les Misérables which my friend luckily had a spare ticket for. Now the last time I saw a musical in the Wales Millennium Centre (aka. The Armadillo) I saw Bugs Bunny on Broadway....

Really sad moments of television
As far as I can remember there have only been two occasions on which I’ve actually felt genuinely sad over fictional character’s in TV dramas. Once was on Saturday when Malcolm Tucker was given the sack during The Thick of it, which was strangely effective at making the audience feel sad about a character who is swearing and shouting at every other character in the drama at the same...

There are about 61 different forms of government in this list alone. Some of which are actual functioning forms of government such as a Democracy or Communist state and some which are purely theoretical. My favourite of these theoretical ones so far is probably the Technocracy. Anarchy Aristocracy Authoritarianism Autocracy Communist state Confederation Corporatocracy Consociationalism ...
